nVidia 6150 problem

I am using ASUS A8N-VM CSM motherboard, which has nVidia 6150 onboard graphic chip. I installed Windows Vista Beta2 (32bit), but the screen is black. I mean I can't see anything. If I disable the display adapter, Windows uses VgaSave, and I can see the screen. However, I can't play even the simplest game such as Solitair. I upgrade the BIOS to version 1001 and nVidia 6150 driver to 88.61, but nothing helped me. The system works very well with Windows XP. Does anyone have any idea?

Will it boot up in Safe Mode using F8? If yes check your desktop resolution settings.

Try booting with the monitor disconnected. Give it 3 minutes, reconnect the monitor. Do you have video then? Yes, this is a serious post. "Joe" wrote in message

Also, if you could, use the Feedback button, click "Reporting a problem," fill out the bug report and let it send the files it needs from your computer. If the computer booted with the monitor disconnected, include that information. "Joe" wrote in message

Yes, I can see the screen when I followed your instruction. Does this mean I have no other choice and I have to wait until they release the new driver?

Not sure. Not sure where the problem lies. "Joe" wrote in message

If you the 88.xx drivers from nvidia go into the control panel and open the nvidia control applet and select the clasic view on the left hand side of the screen. Click on the settings tab and then onthe left hand side of it tab a nenu will appear. on that menu is a section for color control select it and adjust your brightness and contrast settings there. Hope this helps. -- Just when you thought you had the top of the line system...You find out that you have to upgrade yet again. The pain gasp!! The suffering!! Until Payday!!! :)
